The causeway to Pine Island is called Matlacha and is an artsy area like the keys were years ago. It is being preserved by the Pine Island Residents as well as the whole Island. The island has been called the best kept secret of the Florida. It is one of the less developed Islands and ready for action. The area hosts the Tarpon Fishing Capital as well as many other fishing and boating avenues. Flying over the islands are the most scenic in SW Florida. Property has to double in value in the next five years or sooner.
